Ever really stopped to wonder how the lights know to change? I did. Especially as a girl. I remember sitting in the car at the corner of Washington and Miller in Wenatchee, Wa and being about 4 years old. It was then that I had the epiphany: there had to be little gnomes inside who ran up and down little ladders to push flash lights up against the colored lenses.
Now, these days I don't think that so much ~ We all know it's the computers that run our streets, but sometimes it quaint to still sit at the stoplight and imagine those busy gnomes...
